Effective June 1, 2026, Dr. John Zhang (张坚伟) will officially join THi Group as Group Vice President.

Dr. Zhang will oversee the THi GCC team and be fully responsible for daily operations, management system development, and business coordination.

Dr. Zhang brings over 20 years of experience in international business and corporate management, with deep expertise in investment trusts, industrial park development,  high-tech investment, and management consulting.

He possesses extensive global government relations and international public relations experience, maintaining long-standing partnerships across various regions and industries worldwide.

Before joining THi, Dr. Zhang served as Vice Chairman of the Shanghai International Chamber of Commerce. He has organized, led and participated in hundreds of international business events hosted by national and municipal governments, fostering deep engagement with dignitaries and business leaders globally, making significant contributions to China-UAE economic, trade and cultural exchanges.

Dr. Zhang is also the founder of China Innovation Center in the UAE under the auspices of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. This center has become a pivot platform for Chinese enterprises entering the UAE and the broader Middle Eastern markets, having signed strategic cooperation agreements with multiple local governments to drive bilateral economic cooperation and industrial synergy.
